Parks and Recreation

LITTLE LEAGUE PARK
Fort Edward has the distinction of becoming the first lighted Little League Park in the United States. In addition, the Park sponsors a double elimination Little League Tournament after the regular Little League season is over. Mothers of the Little League players are in charge of the very successfully operated food concession booth.

RECREATION COMMISSION
The Village and the Town Recreation Commission operates a very successful summer program that has been well received by the show of community involvement. Many activities are available on a daily basis including golf, arts and crafts, sports and fun-filled field trips.

BRADLEY BEACH
Bradley Beach is adjacent to the Little League Park and the Community Swimming Pool that offers a beautiful site for picnicking along the banks of the Hudson River. Bradley Beach has available for public use picnic tables as well as facilities for outdoor grilling.

MCINTYRE PARK
McIntyre Park's proximity to the school, bike trail and to the community, in general, makes it an ideal location for many outside activities. The park has tennis and basketball courts, playground equipment and includes two ball fields that are home to a Girls Softball league.

BROADWAY BOWL
Local bowling is available in our community with day and evening leagues as well as times for open bowling.

SWIMMING POOL
Our Public community swimming pool is available to the residents of the Village and the Town of Fort Edward from late June until early September. Lifeguards are on duty throughout operating hours.

FEEDER CANAL BIKE TRAIL
Enjoy the bike trail along the Feeder Canal either by bike or by foot. It is one of the hidden treasures found in our community.

FORT EDWARD YACHT BASIN
Located behind the Glens Falls National Bank in the center of Fort Edward, the Yacht Basin offers free water and electrical hook-ups for boaters. The Yacht Basin has recently been revitalized and is the home to our Heritage Days activities. Chamber sponsored summer concerts take place in the Gazebo for the enjoyment of the whole community.

GOLF
For the golf lover, Fort Edward has the Wedgewood golf course that offers a 9-hole par 3 course and is open during the day and also has summer night leagues.

FORT MILLER RECREATION AREA
Along the banks of the Hudson River, Fort Miller is a unique historically well-preserved hamlet. Future plans include a ball field, playground equipment, and a picnic area in addition to sports fishing.
